Leaks are considered the most basic kind of roofing problem, but that doesn't mean they aren't serious.  In fact, most large roofing problems actually trace their origins to a small leak, often times overlooked.

Here are just a few problems a even a small leak can cause...

1. Attic and Ceiling

Other than the obvious problems, water can creep in and cause plaster to bubble, ceilings and walls to discolor, and even hinder proper ventilation (which can severely affect your home's all around comfort levels.

2. Mold

Unless you have been under a rock, you have heard about all the dangers of mold, especially black mold.  Moisture is the perfect breeding grounds for this silent killer. You are responsible for your family's safety, and you can't ignore something like this.

3. Fire Hazard

You don't think about water causing fire, but if it seeps into electrical boxes that is exactly what can happen, igniting a fire.

4. Bills, bills, bills!

Last but not least, a leak can actually let water into your insulation rendering it almost useless.

With summer just around the corner, do you really want that ac unit working overtime just because of a leak you didn't fix?

The most expensive roofer

April 4, 2019

There’s a lot of responsibility involved in putting someone's roof on. Roofs provide us shelter, safety and warmth; so we shouldn’t trust just anyone to provide and install this complex component of a home or business where people will be frequenting often.  A good roofing contractor provides not only skilled craftsmanship, but honest, open communication, plus a commitment to get the job done and even ensure you are happy down the road if repairs are ever needed.  A bad roofer provides the opposite. Here are some tell tale that you’ve hired the wrong kind of contractor.

Expectations Are Not Set and Are Not in Writing - You should always get a detailed layout of what work will be completed.

The Company Has Over Charged - Mistakes happen, but if you see the same kind of mistakes over and over for labor or materials, chances are you're not dealing with a professional company.

There’s Little Communication During The Project - Upon discovery of any new problems or issues you should be notified immediately. Furthermore, even if everything is right on schedule, you should still get regular updates on the progress.

The Company Is Unwilling To Return To The Site - Any good roofer wants his client 100% happy. If they flat out refuse to return to the site to ensure that, you are in for a lot of frustration!
